Dill Mill Gaye- Save Sanjeevani Concert

Last episode of Dill Mill Gaye was glamorous and amazing. I was quite eager to see how the “concert” shaped up on Dill Mill Gaye. “Save

Sanjeevani Concert” had created such a huge pre-release hype. It was like some red carpet occasion of Indian small screen. So my family here in California decided to keep the soap as a part of our Christmas celebrations. Whether the young doctors would manage to garner 24 lacs or something even close to that figure is a million dollar question, but the performance they delivered was marvelous.

After we were done with our Christmas carols, we tuned into Star Plus and we were thoroughly entertained. 8 Indian neighbors had called in to join us in our celebrations and they absolutely loved watching Dill Mill Gaye. Almost all Indians here in South California follow DMG quite regularly and towards the end of the party, every body was discussing about the group dance to the tune of “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom”.

Dill Mill Gaye

M.B.B.S. Se Hatke Lovology Mein Aatke” – an apt tag line for a serial that is somewhat on the same lines of the one time youth-appealing Sanjeevani“. The story revolves around a group on Interns who join a premier Medical Hospital, named after its predecessor Sanjeevani (not sure though if it’s just a coincidence) to complete their MBBS. Living up to our expectations it is a love story. Armaan – the dude with a well toned physique, is in love with the gorgeous – Ridhhima. The serial bubbles with energy. It has all the elements that appeal the youth. Love, laugh, emotion, ego, drama, fun, excitement, and all that you would want to watch. You would not want to miss the humor that is weaved through the plot where emotions of love and sacrifice combine together to make it the perfect entertainer, though only for the target audience.

Daily soaps: My way to reconnect

18 12 2008

tujh-sang-preet-lagayi-sajanaWe shifted to Texas from Trivandram a couple of months back and since then I had lost all contacts… Nope, not the contact with my relatives by contact with my favourite daily soaps.

But recently I have subscribed to the Star TV network.

And now its just my couch, me and my TV. Trust me nothing feels better than watching your favourite Indian shows on TV even when you are far-far away from your country. It’s my way to reconnect with my country.

I can now see Laughter Knights, Dil Mil Gaye, Nach Baliye (my all time favourite), a new entrant Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajana, Amul Star Voice of India, Aap ki Kacheri and many more. To be true my condominium looks like a ‘my home’ now.

Nach Baliye

They keep me engaged all day long. Boredom dares not come closer to me anymore. I feel great to have access to all these desi serials, gives me a feel of India, my country.

But if you haven’t seen these shows, you watch them on STAR TV in the US. STAR ONE and STAR PLUS are available in the United States on Dish Network, DirecTV and your local cable provider.
